About Me.

Growing up in St. Paul, MN I was always an active kid. From playing baseball through my high school and early college years to competing in Men's Physique Bodybuilding through my mid 20s, and currently Jiu-Jitsu Hobbyist and Barefoot Training Activist at 33. I knew at some point my life would revolve fully around health & fitness but didn't know when.

Summer of 2018 I decided to get my first Personal Training Certification through ISSA while working as an Account Manager at Pandora Radio. My intent was to take on a couple of online clients to see if I would find success and/or gratification. Finding both I decided to leave my corporate job and pursue a career as a Personal Trainer at Equinox.

Equipped with only the knowledge of training for bodybuilding competitions, Equinox introduced me to the work it takes to truly become a successful coach. Providing continuing education opportunities that taught essential skills to lead individuals with an array of movement capability and training ages. I had stumbled upon my natural passion and was specifically challenged to find my why as trainer as this was going to be a stepping stone in the journey.

Personally dealing with nagging injuries and re-injuries due to years of overtraining, I knew something in my approach needed to change if I want to be fit and healthy for a long time. In 2020 (age 29 at the time) I was introduced to the Functional Range Systems (FRS) and learned that the internal rotation of both hips were non-existent. I realized that this was likely the reason for my chronic pain and many of my movement pattern inabilities I was dealing with.

With lots of work to still do I'm now pain-free, stronger and more mobile than I've ever been as an adult. By combining FRS and DBC Principles I now specialize in Internal Strength Training for Human Performance. My goal is to implement Internal Strength principles into ALL sports training programs from youth to professional alike, in order to prevent injury and extend peak performance. This starts with leaving every single one of my clients with healthy consistent movement habits they're comfortable performing regularly that all promote longevity!
